    My name is Nadajalah (pronounced NOD-jah-lah) I am a graduate The University of North Texas where I obtained a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Emergency Management. I received my B.A. in Organizational Communication with a minor in Broadcasting from UT Arlington in December 2015. I am a self-motivated individual that strives for a high commitment to excellence. Through my experience I have acquired the personal values of accountability, equity, integrity, and punctuality. I possess the essential skills needed to analyze problems and situations quickly in heightened times of urgency and disaster situations, along with skills in analysis, strategy, and planning. I have proven ability to deliver high quality work in any type of time constraint. I have experience developing clear, concise, and effective business presentations. Exceptional experience building rapport through interpersonal communication skills and previous experience supporting senior level executives in their roles. I possess over 5 years of executive administrative experience support C-level executives as well as over 4 years of emergency management experience helping to lead tabletop and full scale exercises.

    Executive Project Manager II


    • Manage the $12 million lease signing for a new company HQ building. Oversee the facilitation and communication of important updates from the construction company and property management company. Established relationships with external vendors to help coordinate deliverables and furniture for the company.
    • Assess the project scopes, timelines and established budgets to ensure timeliness and cost effective controls are implemented in all phases of projects.
    • Wrote a grant submittal on behalf of the Damage Prevention Council (DPC) of Texas for the $100,000 grant award from The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) Technical Assistant Grant (TAG) Program.
    • Developed a fundamental Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) on behalf of the company. Established the Emergency Management Team (EMT) and protocols and procedures for commonly identified disasters.
    • Lead a cohort of over 5 employees in creating thought-provoking, realistic emergency disasters scenarios for executive leadership. Moderate monthly emergency management related roundtable discussions with executive leadership to critically assess the company's continuity plan.
    • Created office re-entry guidelines with the guidance of Human Resources to develop effective social distancing guidelines for the company to safely create a hybrid office working schedule and the official re-opening of the building.
  • Past Experiences and Positions

    These are a few of my most recent past experiences in which I have developed a unique set of skills.

    Emergency Preparedness Specialist

    Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Police Department

    • In charge of the implementation of comprehensive emergency management plans (Emergency Operations Plan) for the entire agency. 
    • Primary person assigned to coordinate a $250,000 access system upgrade for the entire agency.
    • Manage the coordination of 20+ local, state, government, and federal entities and stakeholders in regards to training and exercises. 
    • Submitted grant proposals worth over $150,000 on topics such as human trafficking and "Stop the Bleed" federal initiatives. 
    • Manage, track and coordinate a $50,000 budget for security contractors to conduct equipment upgrades and maintenance. 
    • Primary project manager over the maintenance and enforcement of the agency's security access system. Including the issuance of badges to employees as well as maintaining 81 sites readers and controllers.
    • Coordinate the set up, operation and activation of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

    Sr. Training Site Administrator Assistant

    Ion Beam Applications (IBA)

    August 2016 - August 2017

    • Facilitate the construction and development of the company’s training facility. 
    • Directly supported the Training Executive Director in coordinating travel, scheduling appointments, conference registration and expense reporting via SAP.
    • Scheduled tours of the facility for on-site personnel and vendors.
    • Established the set-up of financial accounts for the company’s vendors and suppliers for account management.
    • Performed final review and integration of technical training manual content and documents for company use to effectively and certify employees.
    • Maintained a company-owned employee training database to create and update existing training objectives for the company, and assign training plans for employees.
    • Created emergency preparedness documents and evacuation plans in compliance with EHS/OSHA regulations and standards.

    Executive Operations Coordinator to Vice President of Operations

    Health Integrity, LLC

    • Served as the liaison to CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) and other governmental entities to obtain and provide information, identify issues, and assist with timely responses to inquiries regarding contracts or over-payments.
    • Ensured contract compliance by monitoring deliverables, contract requirements, and communication for Medicare change requests.
    • Primary support for VP of Operations and other management executives on ISO initiatives to improve operational systems, processes and policies to regarding information flow, management reporting, business processes, and organization planning.
    • Served as the primary person in charge of handling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial budget reports to turn into CMS contacts. Also, was in charge of setting up new hires for on-boarding and orientation via Silk Road as the Silk Road Learning Administrator for the company.
    • Performed data analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Created business reports and presentations for management staff.

    Sr. Administrative Assitant

    North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG)

    Cross worked in two departments: Environment & Development and Emergency Preparedness.

    • Served as primary person to assist with facilitating group discussions and decisions among local, state, and federal stakeholders, while coordinating committees, subcommittees and working groups councils.
    • Received certification in FEMA NIMS Courses: ICS 100,200,700, and 800
    • Assisted in reviewing, updating, and proofreading the technical writing of local mitigation plans for county ordinances and city annexes throughout the North Texas region.
    • Assisted in monitoring and recording official grant review applications, and the schedule of deliverables.
    • Assisted with NCTCOG's Safe Room Rebate Project, in contacting applicants and reviewing applications for quality assurance.
    • Assisted in regularly updating and formatting departmental website information.
    • Handled incoming invoices, created purchase requisitions and payment authorizations for products, items, and supplies. Submitted monthly purchase and expense reports for the department. Primary person in charge of handling any credit card authorization and transactions as well as ordering supplies weekly for the department.
    • Generated and created meeting agendas, summaries, and board items for both departments. Also reviewed and formatted outgoing memos, letters, postcards, etc. Handled all communications for the department electronically.
    • Developed new hire paperwork and documents, managed departmental staff calendars, and coordinated available meeting times for staff. Registered staff for meetings, coordinated travel arrangements and catering for meetings and events.
    • Collected, sorted, and distributed all outgoing and incoming mail and packages. Prepared documents for local municipalities in conformance with open record requests. Filed all sensitive documents and departmental specific information in
    • Created, formatted, and proofread all outgoing publications, contracts, and letters sent out.
    • Oversaw the reports of illegal dumping in NCTCOG’s Stop Illegal Dumping project and ensured the appropriate city or county contacts were notified.

    Sr. Administrative Assistant

    The University of Texas at Arlington

    • Coordinated events for faculty, staff, students, and community for the Division of Multicultural Affairs and The Center for African American Studies.
    • Primarily supported the Director and Assistant Director Multicultural Affairs, and the Director of Center for African American Studies.
    • Led general body meetings, distributed and created/designed marketing material, recorded and logged financial payments and other ad-hoc reports.
    • Primary spokesperson for the department, conducted several marketing strategies including interviews with local and college news stations, partnered with other departments and organizations on campus to host events.
    • Maintained and logged all staff employee hours, handled rosters for all student programs under the department, and ordered supplies.
    • Organized and filed all files in compliance with records retention policies. Answered all phone calls, emails, and any incoming visitor’s questions on student programs.
    • Booked travel for staff and speakers, scheduled meetings for management, and took messages for both directors.

    National Weather Center Intern

    • Served as an Intern with the Oklahoma Climatological Survey with mentors Alek Krautmann and Dr. Mark Shafer.
    • Created a research project that focused on areas of mitigation to homes and emergency preparedness options.
    • Compiled data from research survey into pictorial models to represent figures and factors influencing homeowners’ decisions for mitigation.
    • Worked effectively with a team to analyze and present data under extreme time constraints.
